EnPro was formally founded in 2006 by owner/operator and Steve Long. Steve’s vision for EnPro started when he was a rooming house manager for a society doing Best Practice Market Housing in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. After employing multiple large pest control companies / exterminator companies within these rooming houses, Steve found that these companies had a similar approach: address the problem minimally, ensuring they would maintain their monthly contract.

Out of frustration for his tenants and a willingness to improve the pest infestations within the building, Steve became a licensed pest technician and exterminator and started EnPro. He then approached his boss and asked him to let EnPro take over the exterminator contract in three of the society’s buildings. Through EnPro’s hard work and persistence, these buildings now have the fewest pest problems they have ever had since the society began operating in the Downtown Eastside.
